Product Therapy: March Updates 🚀
new family members, morning networking and product roles inside!
February came and went in the blink of an eye despite the extra day this year. Apart from starting a few big projects, my family welcomed a new soul into the world 👶 Working for myself, I was able to fly at a moments notice back home to Chicago to meet my new niece. I’ve always been fortunate to work places that would have supported this spontaneity. But, it was extra special to block my own days off and make decisions not to work to take in the first week of her life without anyone else wondering when I was coming back to work.
The only person that worried, of course, was me.
It’s ironic that building your own business gives you all the freedom in the world to make every decision that you want to make. But with that paradox of choice you, *cough me* end up working more than you ever would working for someone else. I’ve talked about a lot this, I know. But as someone who grew up hyper vigilant to get results, there’s a lot of unlearning happening right now.
What’s been most exciting is the momentum I’m building. Little seedlings I’ve planted over the past year are starting to bud, compound and blossom into new relationships, opportunities and exciting new projects. How perfectly timed as we approach the bridge season of March. It’s freezing, its sunny. Its up and its down. Its forward moving.

new offerings
This past month I launched two new coaching offerings.
I not so quietly launched The Lean Product Accelerator, a coaching group for small and one-team product managers. I’m impressed I was able to find a bunch of like-minded people to find an agreeable time to meet across many time zones1.
We just started and I got so inspired by our first session that I’m inviting more folks to join.
If this go around doesn’t work for you, send me a note so I can let you know when I spin up a new group.
I launched a new 90-min Business Intensive for PMs looking to flex their product skills beyond a full time role. These sessions have been SO fun helping people dream, vision and map out really energizing plans for the future.
hosting
I’ve been tapping hard into hosting this quarter. I realized that I’m a curator at heart and one of the biggest joys I feel is bringing people together for real connection. And if its in person, even better.
I held a free workshop on lean product management. It was a ton of work but a lot of fun. I’ll probably do another one again soon. what would you want to hear about?
I gathered a group of coaches from Coaching Corner, for happy hour in NYC. It was a highlight to my week.
I co-hosted another Old Girl’s Club coffee networking in NYC and we’re programming an event at the end of March centered on financial wellness. These women are starting to become friends.
My friend Prerna, former VP of Product at Meetup, and I made our Product Breakfast official with a flyer. If you’re in the NYC area, join us for an intimate coffee start near Union Square. Sign up here.

🎵 My favorite DJ collective, Soul Summit, has a monthly residence in downtown Brooklyn. I auto shazam'ed the last event for an epic playlist for my fellow house heads:
🧅 I love aliums. Leeks shine in this one pan lemon pepper salmon dish.
📚 I finally read No Bad Parts. If you’re IFS (Internal Family Systems) curious, run don’t walk to pick the book up. Bonus podcast with Tim Ferriss.
This past year, I’ve coached across nearly all continents but looking for some coachees in Australia and Antarctica to complete all seven. Send me referrals :-)
